'An Insight into Heaven' by Late Dr. D.G.S Dinakaran
...excerpts from pages 92, 93, 94, 95 of the book
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live." (John 11:25)
"I am the way, the truth and the life." (John 14:6)
Hence when the souls of such martyrs reach Heaven, they are welcomed and settled in a separate place under the alter of the Almighty God. As soon as these souls enter that place the life of God flows like a river from all sides around them in a greater magnitude and in a pleasant way. It sucks away all their involuntary bitter feelings about their untimely and cruel death. Thereafter they only rejoice in this new invigorating atmosphere full of God's life.
....
....
This is what exactly happens to the souls of martyrs in Heaven. God's life flows all the time in this particular place and engulfs them with a mightly force. Yes this special place is God's Power House of His life. The Lord made me visit this place only once.
In India, I had a young friend by name Mr. Glady Eswar Raj, he was well settled in life with a secured job in the Government. He had a young wife and three children. However, his heart was on fire for the Lord to preach the gospel and die as a martyr for Christ. So all of a sudden he resigned his job and went to North India for God's work. He used to all the time say that he would die an untimely death as a martyr for God. Of course, he went through untold sufferings in serving God, which would make anybody break down and cry.
Finally as predicted by him, he died at the young age of 41 not as a martyr but in sickness. Friends like me wept over his body and buried him. As I looked at his face in the coffin I could see the agony he had patiently endured in his ministry as well as on his sick bed.
Once the Lord Jesus Christ was merciful to show me the place where the souls of martyrs are kept. I was dumbfolded to see the soul of my friend Mr. Glady Eswar Raj there. When the Lord made him recollect his past and talk to me he said like this with great emotion, "When I came to Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ said, 'Glady, you always wanted to die as a martyr for Me which did not happen. Nevertheless, as in Romans 12:1 you died for me as a 'Living Sacrifice'. So I have decided to reward you along with the other martyrs in Heaven. Hence, I am keeping you along with them. This is how I am here."
The Bible tells us, how the Lord Jesus Christ also was subject to the agony of being offered as a living sacrifice on the Cross. The following scripture verse describes it vividly:
By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Hebrews 10:10)
Hebrews 9:12,13 tell us how He entered the Heavenly of Heavenliest with His own blood in His hand to be poured before God as a sacrifice for the remission of the sins of the whole world (John 1:29).
Probably, He cried on the cross as a representative of all the martyrs in the whole world in the past, the present and the future as follows, to depict the agony of a martyr.
My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? (Matthew 27:46)
He was indeed cut off like a martyr as prophesized in the Old Testament in Isaiah 53:8 and Daniel 9:26.
Hence, He appreciates the agony of a martyr and a living sacrifice and tries to surround them with His super abounding life so that there shall not be any aroma of death (2 Corinthians 2:16) anywhere in the place prepared for them in Heaven under the alter of the Almighty God.
The extent and the magnitude of God's understanding and appreciation of the sufferings of His saints for His sake in the world can never be really estimated.
